Job summary

Experian in Oakland, CA is seeking a Security Partner to act as a trusted advisor, bridging priorities with security risks and aligning security strategy with product development, regulatory expectations and evolving cyber risk.

You will bridge the business and the Global Security Office, guiding risk decisions, strengthening controls, and enabling secure growth. The role covers secure data exchange, regulatory obligations and major programs in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security and risk assessment.
• Experience with risk management frameworks and governance practices.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, PCI, HIPAA, FFIEC, FedRAMP and breach notification requirements.
• Familiarity with secure software development, Agile, AI/GenAI risk, and modern technologies.

Responsibilities

• Translate priorities into practical security and risk decisions with business units.
• Lead security assessments, rapid risk reviews, risk acceptances, deviations and remediation planning.
• Maintain a clear view of BU security risk, control health, metrics, dashboards, OKRs and SLOs.
• Advise on secure data exchange, regulatory obligations, security assessments, M&A integration and major programs.
• Communicate threats, incidents, policy changes and security requirements to leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, governance workflows and security partner engagement models.
