Job summary

Gotcha Security Inc. is seeking a remote Sales Engineer to own estimates from site visit through signed proposal. You will design CCTV and access control systems, perform takeoffs, and build accurate client-ready proposals that drive margins. Occasional site visits may be needed, and the role requires significant security product experience.

This is a 95% work-from-home position with occasional office visits. Prior experience as an installer, estimator, or sales engineer is required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail: proofread your own work and ensure client-facing documents are typo-free.
• Follows through on instructions: track promises and close the loop with clients.
• Product knowledge: understand CCTV, access control, gates, intrusion and fire alarm products.
• Independent problem solving: research before asking for input and propose solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication to present to clients.

Responsibilities

• Own estimates from start to finish: review the request, gather what's needed, and deliver a complete, accurate proposal.
• Create project designs and takeoffs using tools like BlueBeam, Visio, and AI-assisted research.
• Coordinate with installation teams and vendors to ensure cost, scope, and schedule alignment.
• Document changes, prepare submittals, and track bid documents to protect margin.
• Assist sales with site surveys and client meetings to address technical challenges.
