Job summary

Gotcha Security is seeking a Remote Low Voltage/Security/Fire Alarm Estimator/Sales Engineer to own estimates from site visit to signed proposal. You will design CCTV, access control, and fire alarm solutions, coordinate with designers, perform takeoffs, and build client-ready proposals.

Remote work is available (95%/5%), with occasional office visits and required site visits. This role requires significant experience in security products as an installer, estimator, or sales engineer.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail to proofread client-facing documents
• Product knowledge of CCTV, access control, gates, intrusion and fire alarm products
• Independent problem solving with proactive research when needed
• Proficiency with takeoff and design software; willingness to learn internal tools
• Ability to work extended hours when deadlines require
• Experience using AI tools in a professional workflow

Responsibilities

• Own estimates from start to finish and deliver complete, accurate proposals
• Build project scopes matching the actual job, not just templates
• Perform material and conduit/wire takeoffs from drawings using BlueBeam, Visio and AI
• Verify every line item: part numbers, specs, colors, quantities, and supporting components
• Design project layouts so clients can approve device placement and install team has a clear guide
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure costs are known before submitting estimates
• Support the sales team with site surveys and client meetings to identify challenges
• Document special conditions, scheduling requirements, and scope provided by others
• Evaluate bid documents and develop a submittal strategy
• Attend manufacturer trainings to stay current on products and maintain relationships
• Continuously improve estimating templates, checklists, and workflows
