Job summary

Pref-Tech is seeking a Design Estimator II to support the Sales team in constructing estimates for projects using Pref-Tech estimation standards. The role involves leading assigned sales projects, presenting designs, and traveling to determine customer needs while mentoring DE I personnel. Remote work is possible for substantial portions of tasks.

Required: 3+ years in the field, HS diploma/GED, strong blueprint interpretation, and certifications within 6 months. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in security integration industry required.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Ability to review and interpret blueprints.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and confidence with public speaking and presenting to audiences.
• Ability to hold others accountable to completing tasks.
• Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
• Hold Genetec, Hanwha, DMP/Bosch and Axis certifications within 6 months (company provided).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and assume accountability for assigned sales projects and sales tasks.
• Meet regularly with Sales Team Members and Project Managers to determine and prioritize design estimation needs.
• Present designs to Sales Team Members, Operations, and end users as needed.
• Go on site visits to determine customer needs with or without Sales Team Members.
• Enter high security areas which may require background checks.
• Continuously develop sales & design skills & certifications.
