Job summary

SkySlope is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to build and lead SkySlope's dedicated security engineering program across cloud security, identity controls, and AI governance. This player-coach role designs the program, owns its execution, hires and grows the team, and stays hands-on where it matters.

You will lead the security roadmap, drive risk reduction, and partner with DevOps and product teams to embed secure practices across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Strong senior/staff-level background in security engineering or platform engineering.
• Proven ability to design and drive a cross-cutting security program from ambiguity to delivery.
• Hands-on depth in cloud security practices and modern security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute SkySlope's security engineering program.
• Own the security roadmap across major domains (identity, least-privilege, secrets, secure SDLC, AI governance).
• Hire, mentor, and grow security engineers; lead architecture and design reviews.
• Partner with DevOps, IT, and product engineering to embed security standards across teams.
• Provide executive reporting on status, risk posture, and progress.
