SkySlope is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to build and lead a dedicated security engineering team. This player-coach role designs the program, selects tools, hires and grows the team, and remains hands-on in essential work across the tech stack.

You will drive identity, least-privilege, secrets management, secure SDLC, and AI governance across multi-cloud environments with direct executive sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Senior/staff-level IC background in security engineering, infra engineering or platform engineering.
• Ability to design and drive a cross-functional security program.
• Depth in modern cloud security: IAM, federations, secrets, SDLC, detection/logging.
• Strong coaching/mentoring skills with engineers at multiple levels.
• Sound tooling/vendoring judgment: build vs buy, vendor decisions.
• Clear, direct communication with executives and engineers.
• Enthusiasm for using AI as a security tool and defining guardrails.
• Pragmatic, risk-reduction focused approach over flashy frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute SkySlope's security engineering program.
• Own the security roadmap across identity, least-privilege, secrets, device standards, and AI governance.
• Prioritize work to maximize risk reduction per engineering effort.
• Maintain the security-debt register as a prioritized backlog.
• Own tooling and vendor decisions, including make/buy judgments.
• Provide clear executive reporting on status and risk posture.
• Hands-on technical leadership in architecture and design reviews.
• Contribute to proofs of concept, detection logic, automation, and reviews.
• Hire, coach, and grow the security team; manage direct reports.
