Pinterest is seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer to provide technical leadership within Security Operations. You will own and evolve foundational platforms that govern cloud infrastructure, automate security compliance and integrate security reviews into engineering workflows.

In this role, you’ll design scalable security controls, work across AWS, Terraform and CI/CD tooling, and mentor teams to raise security posture while applying AI responsibly.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and operating complex production systems in security engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering or related area.
• Strong experience with AWS security architecture and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) in large-scale environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical direction of Security Operations systems and automation.
• Design and build production services, infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code for cloud resources and delivery workflows.
• Develop scalable guardrails for identity, access, changes, cloud config and CI/CD security.
• Improve vulnerability triage and remediation by integrating signals and clear accountability.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from design to adoption and maturity.
• Set engineering standards and provide guidance, improving security system reliability and effectiveness.
