Job summary

Koniag IT Systems, LLC is seeking a Middleware Engineer with a Secret clearance to support ICAM efforts for a DoD program. This remote role emphasizes designing, developing, and deploying middleware solutions that connect legacy systems to modern ICAM platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong API development, integration, and security testing skills, with experience in Okta IdP and SailPoint IIQ, and will operate in a federal government IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software/IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on software or systems engineering.
• 3+ years middleware development, API engineering, or enterprise integration.
• Experience integrating apps with identity platforms (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM).
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain CAC/NIPRNet access.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom middleware solutions and adapters.
• Engineer connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration libraries for Okta IIQ.
• Analyze legacy apps to bridge with modern ICAM capabilities.
• Develop reusable middleware components and sample code bases.
• Provide middleware guidance to Application Owners and perform testing.
• Ensure compliance with DoD security requirements and DFARS.
