Job summary

Stellar Virtual is seeking a Secondary Teacher of Mathematics for Lone Star Virtual Academy to deliver high-quality online instruction to secondary students. The role requires strong math knowledge, experience with virtual teaching, and the ability to engage learners using technology and state standards.

You will run live sessions and record activities, assess work, provide feedback, and communicate with families as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements in Mathematics or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).

Responsibilities

Develop and adapt curriculum materials that align with state standards for virtual learners.
Foster an engaging online learning environment with effective student engagement, participation, and behavior management.
Deliver math lessons using multimedia resources, live sessions, and recorded activities.
Participate in live learning sessions and prepare recorded activities with support from the Department Chair.
Design, administer, and assess student assignments, projects, and exams.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to guide students' academic progress.
Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and support strategies.
Stay informed about best practices in online education and math curriculum developments.
Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
