Job summary

Stellar Virtual seeks a Secondary Teacher of Mathematics to deliver high-quality virtual instruction to secondary students. You will design and implement math curriculum, engage students online, and assess learning using digital tools.

The role requires expertise in mathematics and virtual teaching methodologies, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration with the Department Chair.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements in Mathematics or related training and work experience for certification waivers.
• Experience with virtual teaching platforms and online classroom management.
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse virtual learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt curriculum materials that align with state standards and cater to virtual students.
• Foster a positive online learning environment with engagement and behavioral management strategies.
• Deliver math lessons using multimedia resources, live sessions, and collaborative activities.
• Participate in live sessions and prepare recorded activities with support from the Department Chair.
• Design, administer, and assess assignments, projects, and exams.
• Provide timely feedback to guide student progress.
• Offer additional support and resources to students needing extra help.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians about progress and strategies.
• Stay updated on online education best practices and math curriculum developments.
• Participate in professional development to enhance teaching skills.
