Overview
We are seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Consultant to support a fast-paced, publicly traded environment during a critical reporting cycle. This role will focus on the preparation and review of external financial filings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all deliverables. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical accounting foundation, hands-on SEC reporting experience, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic setting. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute immediately within a collaborative and deadline-driven finance team.

Compensation: $80-$89/hr, W2

Scope
- Prepare, update, and maintain SEC filings using a cloud-based reporting platform, ensuring all documents are accurate and properly formatted
- Develop and manage supporting schedules and documentation, including detailed tie-outs for quarterly and annual filings
- Coordinate and maintain key reporting documentation and controls supporting disclosure processes
- Complete quarterly and annual GAAP disclosure checklists, ensuring compliance with current accounting standards
- Partner with internal and external auditors to support SOX compliance efforts, including addressing and resolving identified control gaps
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including account reconciliations and related reporting tasks
- Review and support XBRL tagging to ensure accuracy and compliance with SEC requirements
Qualifications & Expertise
- Background in Big Four public accounting, combined with recent hands-on SEC reporting experience in industry
- Proven ownership of 10-K and 10-Q preparation, including tie-outs and XBRL tagging responsibilities
- Strong proficiency with Workiva for SEC reporting and documentation management
- Ability to quickly step into the role with minimal ramp-up time and operate independently
- Experience working in large, publicly traded environments with high transaction volume preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in fast-paced settings and manage competing priorities effectively
