Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Seasonal Generator Field Services Engineer to provide field engineering oversight for generator work across outages and operations. This role includes customer communication, crew supervision, and hands-on testing, with a heavy travel schedule and long hours.

Based in Region North America, you will work with global engineering teams, gain practical experience, and help ensure safe, reliable power plant performance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; bachelor's in engineering is a plus.
Minimum 6 months of field service experience preferred.
Able to meet physical demands: climb ladders, outdoor work, lift up to 40 lbs.
Willing to travel 200–250 days/year; deployments 2–15 weeks.
100% remote due to travel; must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Provide field engineering oversight for generator work and outages.
Supervise technicians during maintenance and repair of generators.
Conduct visual inspections and electrical/mechanical testing.
Coordinate with global engineering teams for testing/diagnostics.
Serve as primary customer contact during outages.
