Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a field-oriented technician to support generator winding, maintenance, and testing across customer sites. You will assist with winding, machining, assembly, and documentation while coordinating with field engineers to meet strict schedules.

The role requires travel up to 100% domestically and internationally, the ability to work in awkward generator positions, and lifting up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma and related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of generator winding experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; and two years related industrial experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Must be able to travel up to 100% domestically and internationally.
• Must be able to enter/exit generators and work in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist winding operations to meet manufacturing and engineering specifications on turbine generator equipment.
• Assist with electro-mechanical operations related to testing and servicing turbine generator equipment.
• Participate in turbine generator inspections, specialty services, and related work.
• Assist in winding/machining, assembly, tool setup, documentation use, and related tasks.
• Communicate work instructions clearly with leaders and peers to meet schedules.
• Maintain personal Time and Expense reports weekly.
