Job summary

IS International is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support start-up commissioning of Excitation Systems for turbine generators across the Americas. The role requires travel up to 90% and extended stays on-site to install, test, and commission equipment.

You will work on electrical equipment installations, troubleshooting, training customers, and providing reports and timesheets. The position involves working in harsh environments, strict safety standards, and potential work in multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Electrical engineering.
• Working knowledge of computers and various programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical equipment on site.
• Test electrical equipment and provide test reports.
• Provide timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
• Provide training to the customer on site and in classroom.
• Troubleshoot complex problems independently.
• Write and follow procedures.
• Provide feedback to the engineering department.
• Provide phone support to customers.
• Work with Service manager and project managers to provide solutions.
• Work with suppliers, vendors, craft labor and contractors.
• Follow safety policy and OSHA regulations.
