Job summary

Georgetown University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions seeks a Seasonal Application Reader to conduct holistic reviews of undergraduate applications in a highly selective environment. The role emphasizes fairness, confidentiality, and alignment with Georgetown’s admissions standards, with a focus on contextual factors and academic preparation.

Position is part-time, up to 20 hours per week during Oct–Mar, mostly remote with some calibration training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct holistic, contextual reviews of undergraduate applications using Georgetown’s admissions criteria.
• Evaluate academic preparation, intellectual curiosity, and personal contributions within context.
• Apply institutional standards consistently across all assigned applications.
• Prepare clear, concise, well-supported written evaluations.
• Participate in training and calibration to ensure alignment with review standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity; meet productivity and timelines.
