Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking an experienced Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a fully remote, full-time role with the Veterans Affairs department. The position requires leading test planning, automation, API testing, and hands-on validation of information systems, with a Public Trust (MBI) clearance and US citizenship.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software testing, strong automation skills with Selenium/JUnit/TestNG, experience in CI/CD, and a proven track record delivering

Qualifications

Proven experience in developing and executing test plans and scripts.
Strong automation testing background with Selenium or similar tools.
Experience across web/API testing and CI/CD environments.
Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Advanced testing certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
Conduct walkthroughs with managers and leads; perform verification activities.
Document and communicate test results; support issue resolution.
Create daily test metrics and reporting; apply QA best practices.
