Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a remote opportunity supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) program. The role requires strong programming and test automation skills, with experience in C#, Java, or Python, and familiarity with SDLC/Agile.

A Public Trust (MBI) clearance is required. The SDET will design and execute comprehensive test plans, scripts, and data, and collaborate with Test Managers and developers to ensure high-quality information

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software development testing.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong test automation skills and tools.
• Ability to write and execute test cases, scripts, and plans.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and source control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures.
• Write test scripts and data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with project stakeholders.
• Perform tests to ensure defect-free software.
• Document and communicate test results and issues.
• Provide technical solutions and mentoring to teammates.
