Job summary

Sunrise Systems, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Scrum Master to lead a greenfield tax system program in a hybrid setting with remote work and periodic Phoenix meetings.

You will drive Agile transformation, act as a change agent, and bridge the program with the core organization while guiding the team through complex dependencies and vendor challenges. The role requires a strong technical mindset, experience transitioning from Waterfall to Agile, and excellent communication with external partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on large multi-phase complex system implementations.
• 3-5+ years as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
• Experience bridging waterfall to agile transitions across teams.
• Proven ability to manage complex dependencies on large multi-phase greenfield systems.
• Technical background with financial enterprise platform exposure; developer experience a plus.
• Excellent communication with external vendors and stakeholders.
• Change Agent mindset; comfortable guiding teams through resistance to change.

Responsibilities

• Agile Transformation: coach team moving from Waterfall to Agile with a focus on outcomes.
• Bridge Between Program and Organization: coordinate dependencies and clear blockers.
• Facilitation: lead all Scrum ceremonies for productive and outcome-based sessions.
• Impediment Management: proactively remove blockers, especially vendor or integration issues.
• Product Owner Support: assist backlog refinement and prioritization with platform requirements.
