Job summary

Pearson, the world’s learning company, has immediate openings for remote scoring of English 6-12 for Florida licensure exams. Applicants must meet state requirements and be able to work 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST on weekdays, from home.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour for part-time remote work, with opportunities to engage in scoring activities, maintain confidentiality, and participate in training before scoring begins. Eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher, and a current teaching certification in the subject area.
• Be practicing or have five or more years in a service role in a public school in the subject area.
• Or a bachelor’s degree or higher and held a college/university position in the same subject area with 5+ years teaching.
• All scorers must be approved to score by the Florida Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
