Job summary

Pearson is hiring remote scorers to evaluate Florida teacher candidates in English 6-12. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher and appropriate teaching credentials or college-level subject experience. Scoring occurs weekdays 8:30 AM–4:00 PM EST, with fall 2026 start.

Starting rate is $17.50 per hour, with remote work and Ongoing training. Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Current teaching certification in subject area and active/public school service or 5+ years recent experience.
• Alternatively, bachelor’s degree and five years teaching or college-level subject area experience in scoring.
• All scorers must be approved by the Florida Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
