Job summary

Cartwheel, an early-stage company focused on student mental health, is seeking a Mental Health Therapist contractor to work 8-20 hours weekly remotely in the U.S. You will collaborate with school staff, students, and families in partner districts, conducting tele-therapy, assessments, and care planning.

This role emphasizes flexible after-school hours (3-8 pm MT, Saturdays), a AZ license, telehealth experience, and ability to supervise others if qualified.

Qualifications

• Active AZ licensure to deliver mental health care (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD).
• At least two years of experience delivering mental health services to children and youth via telehealth.
• Experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and/or motivational interviewing.
• Access to reliable, high-speed internet (50 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up).
• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to offer hours during and after school (e.g., 3–8 pm MT, Saturdays).
• Ability to provide safe care to children and adults, including crisis management virtually.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and teletherapy to PreK-12 students and school staff.
• Participate in case discussions with Cartwheel team members.
• Support students and families with transition to community care providers.
• Build collaborative relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families.
• If qualified, provide clinical supervision to other care team members.
