Stride, Inc. is hiring a virtual School Counselor to support students’ academic, social, and career development. The role focuses on postsecondary planning, counseling, and collaboration with teachers to optimize graduation outcomes.

The position offers a full-time schedule with a flexible, travel-friendly arrangement and a strong emphasis on data-driven planning and student success in a private online academy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred in school counseling.
• Experience with distance learning and charter schools is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office, web searches, and database systems.
• Flexible schedule and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan postsecondary options for students (education, military, employment).
• Meet quarterly with each student to review graduation plans and options.
• Review transcripts and document student progress.
• Develop four-year graduation plans and audit schedules for candidacy.
• Analyze student data to create data-driven intervention plans.
• Provide short-term counseling and referrals for long-term support.
• Support standardized testing and parent education; participate in IEP meetings.
• Travel up to 20% for professional development and school needs.
