Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator in Albuquerque, NM to manage patient appointments, maximize clinician schedules and verify insurance while delivering a positive patient experience. This full-time role runs 7:55am–4:25pm MST, with occasional overtime; training is 8:00–5:00 during onboarding and will transition to a remote setup.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, update demographics and eligibility in EPIC, and use MS Office tools to support efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of related customer service in a call center, medical office/healthcare facility, healthcare insurance carrier, OR scheduling field.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately schedules and coordinates patient appointments for assigned clinics.
• Work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Analyzing provider schedules to ensure maximum capacity is met.
• Obtains eligibility and benefit information in a timely manner and manages transfers and demographic changes in EPIC.
• Registering patients in EPIC and updating demographics and insurance information.
• Use text templates in the EHR and send encounters; multitask between systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
