Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Technical Leader to drive the design, development, and implementation of solution architectures from presales through delivery. You will work with customers and internal teams on distribution automation, process bus, cybersecurity, and related solutions in the energy sector. The role is remote with up to 30% travel in the U.S.

and Canada. You will lead technical projects, manage budgets, review risks, and produce technical documentation while ensuring GE Vernova safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Digital Protection & Control Systems or Energy Management Solutions design for utilities and industrials.
• Experience in Electric Power Distribution Automation, Process Bus, Substation Digitization, APM, DvM, or Cybersecurity Management.
• Proficient in designing and programming electrical control systems including SCADA/HMI, cybersecurity, network equipment, IEC61850, Firewalls.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to travel 30% in the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Projects: Drive design and execution from design to commissioning.
• Customer interface: Lead technical meetings and kickoff discussions with stakeholders.
• Project management: Oversee budgets, risks, and changes with the project manager.
• Design and documentation: Analyze specs and validate solutions with customers.
• Technical oversight: Specify software and IEDs and ensure safety standards.
• Issue resolution: Address deviations and support site engineers remotely or on-site.
• Testing and commissioning: Lead FATs and SATs and coordinate with commissioning teams.
• Training and support: Provide project-specific training and assist tendering teams.
