Job summary

The Jonus Group seeks a highly motivated SBU Team Lead to guide a dispersed team focused on small business commercial accounts. You will oversee underwriting, drive process improvements, and ensure client satisfaction while mentoring teammates.

The role offers remote work with preferences for Birmingham or Troy, AL and periodic travel to office locations. Strong leadership, communication, and Epic software proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in small business underwriting (SBU) and team leadership.
• Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
• Epic software proficiency strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and process-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a dispersed team across multiple locations.
• Oversee servicing of a small book of SB commercial accounts and support team members.
• Develop, implement, and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Assist with marketing and quoting efforts, focusing on carrier consolidation.
• Collaborate with leadership to meet organizational goals and performance metrics.
• Mentor team members to foster a cohesive, motivated environment.
• Periodically visit office locations when remote to maintain connections.
