Job summary

Optum is seeking a hands-on Salesforce Developer/Architect for remote work to design and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions integrated with enterprise systems. You will guide architecture and secure, high-performance delivery across Java/.NET, databases, and cloud services, with a strong emphasis on responsible AI.

You will lead architecture reviews, define reusable patterns, and mentor teams while driving DevSecOps, CI/CD, and modernized deployments in a dynamic healthcare tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of enterprise app development or solution architecture experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise app development or solution architecture experience.
• 5+ years hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience (Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL).
• 2+ years in AI-driven development lifecycle (AIDLC) or AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Experience with Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Field Service, or Health Cloud.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, batch processing, and enterprise integration.
• Experience with relational databases and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), DevSecOps, containers, and release tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development and end-to-end solution architecture for Salesforce platforms and related enterprise applications.
• Design end-to-end solutions across Salesforce and integrated enterprise platforms using Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL, platform events, and asynchronous processing.
• Define API, integration, security, data, deployment, and non-functional architecture to ensure platform security, scalability, performance, and compliance.
• Integrate Salesforce with Java/.NET applications, databases, middleware, cloud services, and third-party platforms, evaluating optimal capability placement across systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions addressing complex business challenges with responsible AI (AIDLC adoption).
• Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, evaluate trends, and drive improvements.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, code reviews, and provide guidance for modernization and tech debt reduction.
• Establish reusable design patterns, development standards, CI/CD practices, and guardrails; communicate options, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
