Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is recruiting for a remote, 1099 life insurance sales role aimed at helping families understand their options. You will work from your home office, managing your own schedule while guiding clients from inquiry to underwriting. We provide carrier choice, exclusive leads, and ongoing mentorship to support your success.

Veterans and military spouses are welcome, and licensing timelines vary by state. Applicants must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must have a life insurance license in the relevant state or be pursuing licensing before first sale.
• Ability to conduct calls and video chats with clients from home.
• Self-disciplined to manage daily schedule without supervision.

This 100% remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales role welcomes veterans and military spouses. You'll help families who asked for information understand their options and apply, working from home on a schedule you manage.

What you'll actually do

• Call or video-chat with people who already requested life insurance information from us
• Learn each household's situation and priorities before showing a single option
• Explain coverage choices in plain language, then complete the application together
• Follow every application through underwriting and keep the family updated until a decision
• Log each conversation and next step in the CRM as it happens
• Keep up with ongoing training on products, carriers, and state rules

Who this is a fit for

• Military service or military-family life is welcome here, but it isn't required
• Comfortable holding appointments by phone and video from your own home office
• Disciplined enough to run your day without someone setting the agenda
• A state life insurance license, or a plan to get licensed before your first sale
• Straightforward with people making real decisions for their families
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States
