Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking an independent-contractor life insurance sales professional to work remotely from home. You will help families understand their options and apply, scheduling your own time as you manage your daily workflow.

Applicants must either hold a state life insurance license or have a plan to obtain one before your first sale, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. 1099 compensation with access to multiple carriers is provided.

Qualifications

• State life insurance license required or plan to get licensed before first sale.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; 18+.

Responsibilities

• Call or video-chat with people who requested life insurance information.
• Learn each household's situation before showing options.
• Explain coverage choices in plain language and complete the application together.
• Follow each application through underwriting and update families until a decision.
• Log conversations and next steps in the CRM as they happen.
• Participate in ongoing training on products, carriers, and state rules.

This 100% remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales role welcomes veterans and military spouses. You'll help families who asked for information understand their options and apply, working from home on a schedule you manage.

• Log each conversation and next step in the CRM as it happens
• Keep up with ongoing training on products, carriers, and state rules

Who this is a fit for

• Military service or military-family life is welcome here, but it isn't required
• Comfortable holding appointments by phone and video from your own home office
• Disciplined enough to run your day without someone setting the agenda
• A state life insurance license, or a plan to get licensed before your first sale
• Straightforward with people making real decisions for their families
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States
