Job summary

Profile Personnel Ltd. is seeking a proactive Sales Specialist to drive growth in the automotive steel and related sectors.

This remote-based role requires ownership, independence and the ability to manage customer relationships, opportunities and follow-ups with minimal supervision. The role involves regular travel within South Africa, handling quotations, proposals and tender documentation from enquiry to order, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate orders and delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in sales or a related commercial role.
• Experience in steel, automotive or industrial sectors is advantageous.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within automotive, steel and related sectors.
• Manage enquiries, quotations, proposals and tender documentation from enquiry to order.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate quotations, orders, production and delivery.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations, orders, payments and customer needs.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order records in CRM/ERP systems.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers and consultants.
• Support negotiations within approved commercial parameters.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and provide after-sales support.
• Stay informed on products, market developments and industry trends.
• Prepare sales reports and performance summaries.
• Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows and client meetings.
• Take ownership of assigned opportunities and proactively follow up.
