Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Chief Operating Officer with a strong sales leadership background to drive a remote, growing agency serving US clients. You will own the sales, recruiting, delivery and marketing functions, report to the founder, and be accountable for profit and growth.

You should have led sales teams with quotas in agency or SaaS environments, managed multiple departments, and scaled organizations. Expect a hands-on, results-focused leadership role with cross-functional impact.

Formación

• Carried a quota and led salespeople against a number, then ran a sales org as VP of Sales, CRO, or sales-led GM.
• Agency experience in digital, marketing or creative fields preferred; SaaS or professional services also acceptable.
• Handled profit numbers, margin on delivery, and decisions about which business to pursue or decline.
• Demonstrated strong contract and vendor negotiation experience.
• Able to coach leaders and communicate clearly with multiple senior stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead four department leads: numbers, development, reviews, and timely escalation decisions.
• Own weekly rhythm, quarterly priorities, and resource trade-offs when conflicts arise.
• Own profit responsibilities: margin on delivery, hiring cost, and which business to take or decline.
• Direct commercial conversations: client contracts, redlines, vendor terms, and deal boundaries.
• Build capable leaders from operators and ensure fast, founder-aligned decision-making.
