Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Sales Director/Account Executive for Retail and Consumer Goods to drive growth across the industry vertical. You will own end-to-end sales, build executive-level relationships, and lead campaigns with Cognizant's full portfolio of services.

The role emphasizes new logo acquisition, cross-sell opportunities, and a strong pipeline. A Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred, and the position is remote in the United States with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with a global consulting, technology services, or outsourcing organisation in onshore/offshore sales environments.
• 5+ years selling consulting, digital transformation, technology, or outsourcing services into Retail and Consumer Goods organisations.
• Proven experience closing complex, multi-service deals ranging from $5M to $50M+ and quota attainment.
• Strong executive presence with ability to engage senior decision-makers.
• Bachelor's degree (required). MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive hunting and new logo acquisition across strategic Retail and Consumer Goods accounts.
• Lead end-to-end sales pursuits including qualification, solution development, proposals, negotiations, and closure.
• Act as primary account lead, establishing trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives.
• Create and execute territory and account plans to maximise market coverage and achieve bookings and quota targets.
• Collaborate with partners, solution and delivery teams to develop differentiated value propositions and maintain pipeline and CRM hygiene.
