Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials seeks a Sales Development Account Manager to build a strong pipeline and drive new customer acquisition. You’ll partner with Business Development, Marketing, Commercial, and Operations to qualify leads, schedule appointments, and advance opportunities through the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 3+ years of inside sales and/or sales development experience.
• At least 6 months as Sales Development Account Manager, Level 2 within Worldwide.
• CRO/pharma industry experience preferred, including Phase I–IV.
• Experience using Salesforce or CRM and sales automation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Build a strong new business pipeline through inbound lead qualification, outbound prospecting, and targeted client outreach.
• Partner with Business Development and Marketing to develop territory plans and leverage campaigns for customer acquisition and revenue growth.
• Engage prospects through calls, email, social outreach, client meetings, and visits; use research to understand needs and challenges.
• Manage target accounts, prospects, opportunities, and pipeline forecasting in Salesforce.
• Advance qualified opportunities through the sales process and set appointments with Business Development colleagues.
• Grow client relationships by identifying expansion and upsell opportunities and connecting clients with relevant services.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Operations, Marketing, SMEs and other resources to support RFP responses and bids.
• Develop Business Development and management capabilities through training and collaboration with leaders.
