Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a strategic-thinking commercial counsel to join our legal team. In this remote role, you will independently review, draft, and negotiate SaaS and technology contracts, support the fast-paced sales organization, and help shape policies to scale our legal function.

You will partner with sales, finance, privacy and security teams, manage high-volume contracting workflows, and contribute to template and playbook development.

Qualifications

• JD required and active license in good standing to practice law in the US.
• 5+ years’ relevant experience in commercial contracting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS/technology agreements.
• Experience supporting sales in a technology contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of data privacy and IP in contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently review, draft and negotiate SaaS/subscription and related technology agreements.
• Redline and manage end-to-end contracting for client-facing engagements.
• Oversee intake, review and approval workflows for high-volume contracting.
• Collaborate with contract specialists, finance, privacy and security teams.
• Develop templates, playbooks and resources to scale contract support.
• Advise on legal issues in collaboration with sales, product and operations.
