Job summary

Bayou Recruiting Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled roofing estimator and sales professional for a remote role with monthly on-site visits to the McHenry, IL office. You will review plans, develop competitive estimates, and manage relationships with general contractors and property owners.

You will analyze bids, present proposals, and work with project teams to ensure smooth transitions from estimation to execution.

Qualifications

5–10 years proven experience in commercial construction estimating and sales roles.

Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications and proposals to develop accurate roofing estimates.
Perform on-site inspections to assess project scope, materials, labor and timeline requirements.
Utilize estimating software and tools to calculate costs for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers and building owners.
Respond to RFQs/RFPs and follow up on leads to secure new business.
Present estimates and proposals to clients clearly and professionally.
Negotiate contracts and close sales with the project management team.
Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth transitions from estimation to execution.
Attend pre-bid and job meetings as required.
Stay current on industry trends, competitor pricing and market conditions.
