Job summary

gpac has partnered with a leading roofing contractor to hire an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator / Project Manager in Colorado. You will interpret blueprints, perform take-offs, and prepare formal bids while coordinating with clients to ensure feasibility and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities include site visits, subcontractor bid solicitation, scope reviews, and producing P&L reports. Requires 2+ years in roofing estimation and OSHA knowledge; EDGE software is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Commercial Roofing Estimation.
• Working knowledge of commercial roofing documentation.
• General contracting knowledge.
• Ability to write and review contracts.
• Experience with EDGE estimating software is a plus.
• BS/BA in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus.
• Knowledge of roof systems, materials, construction processes and theories.
• Ability to identify, correct and report unsafe conditions per OSHA standards.

• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals and blueprints.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand project scope.
• Conduct review and take-off of blueprints.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors.
• Gather subcontractor pricing and conduct scope review.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids against bid documents and plans.
• Assess subcontractor ability to perform the work.
• Calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Collaborate with clients to help achieve project cost budgets with alternative materials and methods.
• Work with Project Managers, Superintendents and Pre-Construction team to maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Produce P&L reports

Job description

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with a high level Roofing Company in the market. They have a diverse portfolio and a vast variety of projects. They are in need of an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator and or a skilled Project Manager. The Estimator calculates preliminary job budgets and prepares formal job bids through interpreting blueprints, performing take-offs and estimating job costs. The Estimator/Project Manager also interfaces with clients and their representatives to ensure that technical specifications and designs are feasible and consistent with industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Developing accurate and complete job estimates.
• Identify project labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, written specifications and related documents.
• Conduct site visits and attends pre-bid meetings to understand project scope.
• Conduct review and take-off of blueprints.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors.
• Gather subcontractor pricing and conducts scope review.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids to bid documents and plans to ensure that the full scope of work was considered.
• Consider subcontractors ability to perform the work.
• Calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Collaborate with the client to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate material/finishes and building methods.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and the Pre-Construction team to maintain relationships with existing clients and subcontractors.
• Produce P&L reports

Compensation: $70k-$100k
