Job summary

MRO Corporation in the United States is seeking a Remote ROI Specialist to provide remote support for releasing patient records. This is a part-time, fully remote role.

You will review requests under HIPAA, respond to inquiries, log and index records, and ensure secure transmission. A high school diploma and data-entry experience are required; HIPAA knowledge is a plus, and applicants must reside in approved states.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One or more years of data entry experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet production goals.
• Knowledge of HIPAA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review requests to determine records for release in line with HIPAA, accessing patient data in client EHR systems and other approved sources.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and secure messages.
• Process requests from physician offices and securely transmit information (e.g., secure email or eFax).
• Log medical record requests into Exchange Manager.
• Upload and index electronic medical records into Exchange Manager.
• Follow HIPAA privacy and security requirements and MRO remote work policies.
