Job summary

CAMS is seeking a Remote Operations Center (ROC) Operator to monitor and control CAMS managed wind, PV, and BESS assets in a 24/7 environment. The role ensures safe, reliable operations while adhering to NERC cybersecurity and ISO/Tariff requirements.

You will coordinate with ROC leadership, field personnel, and external partners, respond to alarms, review logs, and maintain documentation while rotating 12-hour shifts across days and nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with 1+ years in energy-related remote operations or related field.
• Two-year college degree in Electrical Technology or related engineering field preferred for Operator II.
• Proficiency with SCADA/EMS applications and ability to interpret electrical diagrams.
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate multiple substations and power plant resources using SCADA systems to maximize reliability and production.
• Coordinate with ROC leadership, O&M, asset managers, NERC/compliance, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions and initiate timely corrective actions.
• Maintain shift logs, setpoint changes, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and other control centers to provide updates and coordinate activities.
