Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway CAD Technician in the United States to support municipal and transportation projects. You will draft and refine road designs, review plan sets, and coordinate with engineers and designers throughout the project lifecycle.

You will use AutoCAD and Civil 3D (and possibly MicroStation/OpenRoads) to generate accurate deliverables, support permitting, and ensure constructability while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant training in CAD, drafting, or design technology.
• Experience with transportation engineering, preferably DOT.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar) with plan production and drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Review roadway, drainage, traffic control, and utility plans to develop accurate design drawings and documents.
• Prepare and revise roadway design plans, profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models using CAD software.
• Produce plan sets ensuring compliance with client standards, DOT requirements, and project objectives.
• Maintain engineering documentation including quantity calculations and exhibits for permitting and construction.
• Create and modify alignments, surfaces, corridors, and grading models using Civil 3D.
• Perform quality control reviews of plan sets for drafting accuracy and design consistency.
• Coordinate with survey, drainage, utility, and transportation teams to integrate design elements.
• Prepare construction plans and related exhibits for public and private transportation projects.
