CorVel Corporation is seeking a caring, self-motivated registered nurse to join as a Medical Case Manager in California. This remote role involves travel to assigned locations and collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and care teams to coordinate recovery and care planning.

The position emphasizes managing complex cases, evaluating medical necessity, and ensuring quality outcomes while adhering to IIPP safety guidelines. Local travel can be up to 60% with potential overnight travel.

Qualifications

• RN Medical Case Manager with current California licensure preferred.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; CCM/CIRS certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned locations.
• Experience in case management, utilization review or managed care is helpful.

Responsabilités

• Provide in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to patients, physicians, and care teams.
• Discuss treatment plans with physicians and consider alternative options.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress and needs.
• Evaluate treatment plans for medical necessity and cost effectiveness.
• Attend doctors’ visits, discharge planning conferences, and home visits.
• Travel locally up to ~60% (may include overnight travel) and use IIPP guidelines.
