Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a caring, self-motivated registered nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager position in Washington. This role combines remote work with local travel, serving injured workers and their families, coordinating care and collaborating with providers.

You will manage a caseload within a defined jurisdiction, conduct home visits, negotiate services, and support recovery. Regular Monday–Friday hours with travel up to 60% and possible overnight travel; must reside in Greater

Qualifications

• RN license in state of operation (WA) required
• Experience as an RN Medical Case Manager ideal; clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation preferred
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• CCM, CIRS or similar case management certs preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to assigned locations

Responsibilities

• Provides in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management
• Discusses current treatment plans with physicians and discusses alternatives
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient progress
• Evaluates treatment plans for medical necessity and cost effectiveness
• Attends doctor visits, and discharge planning conferences; conducts home visits
• Manages a caseload with local travel up to ~60% of time; possible overnight travel
• Negotiates delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services
• Collaborates with patient, family, providers, employer, and referral sources
• Keeps documentation up to date in relevant systems
