Job summary

CorVel Corporation in Georgia is hiring a caring, self-motivated, energetic and independent registered nurse for a Medical Case Manager role. This position involves remote work with substantial local travel across designated Georgia locations, Monday to Friday during regular business hours.

You will work closely with injured workers, their families and medical providers to facilitate recovery, coordinate care plans, and evaluate progress.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
• Experience as an RN Medical Case Manager preferred.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• CCM/COHN/CDMS certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to patients, families, providers, and employers.
• Discuss treatment plans with physicians and discuss alternatives.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress.
• Attend discharge planning conferences and home visits to assess care needs.
• Travel locally up to 60% and possibly overnight travel.
