Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. seeks an RN to support triage activities from a work‑from‑home setup. The role involves collecting and clarifying patient information, assessing condition, and guiding providers to appropriate dispositions per clinical protocols.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, document encounters in EMR, and ensure timely follow‑up. A valid RN license and at least one year of clinical experience are required; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program is required.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Triage or emergency department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of patients (in person or by phone) to determine urgency/severity.
• Gather information on medical history, symptoms, and medications.
• Prioritize patient needs using evidence-based guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Provide accurate medical advice to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Document patient interactions and recommendations in EMR.
• Monitor and reassess patients and arrange follow-up care as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical/legal standards.
• Performs other related job functions as assigned.
