Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a CDI RN to perform basic to intermediate reviews of clinical documentation from admissions, coordinating with providers and physician advisors for accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and DRG assignment.

The role requires an RN license, an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), and completion of CCDS and CDIP within 2 years. Remote work is possible for eligible states, with collaboration across the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• RN licensure in state or compact required upon hire.
• CCDS certification required within 2 years of hire.
• CDIP certification required within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic to intermediate CDI reviews of clinical documentation.
• Submit queries to providers and document findings.
• Assist with first and second level appeals and mortality reviews.
• Collaborate with physician advisor and coding team to ensure accurate DRG assignment.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement activities.
