Job summary

PURE Risk Managers perform independent risk assessments to evaluate high-value home exposures and support underwriting and loss prevention for our members. This remote role involves extensive travel across the Western United States, with preferred locations including Las Vegas, NV, to enable in-home assessments.

You will analyze findings, recommend mitigation, and collaborate with Underwriting to inform risk decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Risk Manager at an insurance carrier or related insurance role with exposure to property risk assessment and broader risk management practices
• OR 5+ years of experience in high-value home construction, skilled trades, home inspection, appraisal, or related field
• Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment and discretion in complex situations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Western United States

Responsibilities

• Perform PURE 360 Risk assessments by evaluating complex and varied property conditions across regions, construction types, and environmental factors, assessing risk exposure
• Analyze and interpret findings to assess loss probability and severity, using professional judgment to determine appropriate recommendations
• Recommend loss prevention strategies by identifying practical solutions and prioritizing actions based on risk impact
• Assess property conditions, evaluate replacement cost considerations, identify material risk factors, and determine significance of exposures affecting underwriting decisions and loss potential
• Partner with Underwriting and internal stakeholders to provide insight that supports risk selection and business decisions
• Evaluate unique site conditions and risk factors by applying technical knowledge to geographic and peril-specific scenarios
• Operate independently in the field with flexibility in approach and execution
• Travel regularly across the Western United States to conduct in-home assessments and engage with members
• Communicate assessment results and recommendations clearly, including rationale and risk implications
• Represent the PURE brand in members' homes with credibility, humility, professionalism and genuine care
