Job summary

PURE Insurance is seeking a Risk Manager to perform independent risk assessments for high-value homes across the Western United States. The role involves extensive travel, in-home evaluations, and collaboration with underwriting to guide risk decisions.

You will analyze complex property exposures, determine replacement cost, and recommend preventative measures. A background in insurance risk or related construction disciplines is valued, with strong communication and independence essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; relevant field experience valued.
• 3+ years of risk manager experience at an insurance carrier or related role with property risk assessment
• OR 5+ years in high-value home construction, skilled trades, home inspection, appraisal, or related field
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the Western United States

Responsibilities

• Perform PURE 360 Risk assessments across regions, construction types, and environmental factors.
• Analyze findings to assess loss probability and severity, and make recommendations.
• Identify practical loss prevention strategies and prioritize actions by risk impact.
• Assess property conditions, replacement cost considerations, and exposure significance for underwriting and loss exposure.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and stakeholders to inform risk selection and business decisions.
• Evaluate site conditions and geographic/peril-specific risk factors.
• Work independently in the field with adaptable approaches.
• Travel regularly across the Western United States to conduct in-home assessments.
• Clearly communicate assessment results, rationale, and implications.
• Represent PURE in members' homes with professionalism, credibility, and care.
