Job summary

Practice Resources LLC is seeking an experienced Risk Adjustment Medical Coder for a fully remote position in the United States. You will apply coding principles to validate CPT and ICD codes, code HCCs, and ensure accurate documentation for CMS risk adjustment programs.

Responsibilities include communicating with physicians, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining HIPAA compliance. AAPC/AHIMA membership fees are covered and EncoderPro access is provided to support CEUs and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Professional Coding Certification such as CCS or CPC.
• CRC certification is a plus or 3+ years of HCC coding experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records documentation methodologies.
• Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office; strong internet research.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Validate missing or incorrect CPT and ICD-10 codes and abstracts.
• Code chronic diseases meeting HCC and Risk Adjustment criteria.
• Assign diagnoses and procedures per CMS guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians to improve documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and meet tight deadlines.
