Xometry is seeking a senior manufacturing engineer to analyze CAD drawings and assess manufacturability for accurate quoting. You will calculate costs, provide process recommendations, and document results for the Sales team.

This remote role requires strong technical and communication skills to support fast, precise quotes. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in metalworking or mechanical engineering and deep knowledge of machining, fabrication processes, and post-processing.

Qualificações

• Bachelor-level or higher technical degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in metalworking or mechanical engineering.
• Expert knowledge of turning, milling, CNC, EDM, and cutting processes.
• Understanding of post-processing methods and material properties.
• Strong communication to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze CAD drawings and models for manufacturability and cost.
• Calculate manufacturing costs (materials, machining hours, post-processing).
• Provide recommendations on processes to optimize quotes and lead times.
• Document calculations and transfer to Sales/Commercial teams.
• Review 3D/2D drawings for quoting and manufacturability feedback.
• Organize RFQs and coordinate with Sales and Engineering to clarify details.
• Maintain and update quote databases to ensure accuracy.
