Columbia University is seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager (Self-Pay Collection) to oversee the centralized Self-Pay collections unit and ensure timely posting and reconciliation of payments for professional medical claims.

The role emphasizes staff supervision, process optimization, and compliance with policies, HIPAA, and billing guidelines, with a primarily remote work arrangement for eligible telework states.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a third-party payor environment.
• Demonstrated intermediate skills in AR management, Customer Service, problem assessment and resolution, and collaborative problem-solving in complex settings.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Must complete systems training requirements.

Responsabilités

• Oversee centralized Self-Pay collections unit and outbound calls for professional medical claims.
• Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of payments and address patient complaints.
• Manage staff performance, training, and reporting; monitor queues and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with clinical departments to optimize revenue cycle processes.
• Support compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations.
