Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Revenue Cycle Financial Specialist to join the Revenue Cycle Department. This remote, work-from-home role supports collecting and verifying demographic, guarantor, and insurance information while educating patients and staff on the financial process.

The role collaborates with clinical teams, coverage vendors, and patient financial services to ensure accurate authorizations, secure reimbursement, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in medical insurance verification and hospital finance.
• Proficiency with Windows-based PC systems.
• Strong analytical and financial assessment abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by collecting demographic, guarantor, insurance and financial data.
• Verify benefits and coverage for scheduled services.
• Obtain referrals/authorizations to ensure reimbursement.
• Assist with financial assistance and charity applications.
• Coordinate with patients and staff to resolve revenue flow and payments.
