Job summary

SGA Dental Partners seeks a Revenue Cycle Analyst to support reporting, analytics, and data integrity across the revenue cycle function. You will extract data from PMS systems, validate outputs, and help standardize KPI definitions to enable data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate with IT and BI teams, develop dashboards, and ensure accuracy across systems while supporting leadership reporting and operational reviews.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data analysis, reporting, revenue cycle operations, or related healthcare/dental analytics roles.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows and KPIs.
• Experience with PMS such as Denticon, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental.
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, translating data into insights.
• Education in Business/Finance/Data Analytics or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Extracts and compiles data from practice management systems to support operational and leadership reporting needs.
• Pulls ad hoc and recurring manual reports from PMS systems for leadership, Finance, and Operations.
• Partners with leadership to define reporting needs, KPI requirements, and performance tracking methodologies.
• Collaborates with Power BI and analytics teams to design, develop, and refine dashboards and outputs.
• Validates and audits Power BI reports against source data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identifies discrepancies between reporting systems and source data and resolves issues cross-functionally.
• Identifies gaps in current reporting and proposes enhancements for visibility into performance.
• Standardizes KPI definitions and reporting methodologies across teams.
• Maintains documentation related to reporting logic, data sources, and metrics.
• Monitors data quality and escalates issues affecting reporting accuracy.
• Analyzes revenue cycle performance trends (AR aging, collections, posting timing).
• Prepares data for presentations and leadership reviews.
• Partners with IT on data-related initiatives and reporting enhancements.
• Promotes a data-driven culture by providing actionable insights.
